Photos, craft, and courtyard\u2011beer vibes included.","content":"<h2>Bespoked 2026 \u2014 A Sunny Friday at the Handmade Bicycle Show<\/h2><p>I headed to Bespoked on Friday afternoon for the opening of the weekend\u2011long Handmade Bicycle Show, this year tucked into a very cool venue in Peckham Rye. The setting alone felt like part of the experience \u2014 a maze of studios, small shops, food spots and tucked\u2011away creative spaces that suited the spirit of the show perfectly.<\/p><p>It had been a long time since my last Bespoked. Eleven years, in fact. Back then it was in Bristol, and I still have the brochure from that year \u2014 a small, beautifully printed time capsule that I\u2019ll include a photo of in the post. Walking into this year\u2019s show with that memory in mind gave the whole afternoon a nice sense of continuity.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.podos.io\/ltxmj8wbwleozuwpfqcbr2pbpbrmujlbdi8un0t6lnnloqtv.jpg.jpg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" alt=\"ltxmj8wbwleozuwpfqcbr2pbpbrmujlbdi8un0t6lnnloqtv.jpg.jpg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" \/><\/p><h3>Highlights from the floor<\/h3><ul><li><p><strong>Flying Gate<\/strong> \u2014 One of the first things that stopped me in my tracks. There\u2019s something about that distinctive frame geometry that always feels both eccentric and elegant.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.podos.io\/eolqx9g8ecxrfwykra1uyejbhqappjfz2x8lr8efipvptomf.jpeg.jpeg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" alt=\"eolqx9g8ecxrfwykra1uyejbhqappjfz2x8lr8efipvptomf.jpeg.jpeg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" \/><\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>The Apocalypse Build\u2011Off<\/strong> \u2014 Utterly brilliant chaos. My favourite was a Brompton fitted with a working 3D printer, quietly chugging away as if that were the most normal thing in the world.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.podos.io\/zmehd2xpjywy6hjjjnmdg7kmbgumkdbjl5coh2mzp42ybfq9.jpg.jpg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" alt=\"zmehd2xpjywy6hjjjnmdg7kmbgumkdbjl5coh2mzp42ybfq9.jpg.jpg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" \/><\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Quirk Cycles<\/strong> \u2014 Always inventive, always beautifully executed. They were handing out a very cool musette, which felt like the perfect little souvenir from the day.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.podos.io\/2va9q1qy1og5dzszzvvhb8viilibhbawdqai2ugkzd8slcbi.jpeg.jpeg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" alt=\"y73c5beagobbix3fatndzjsbzwlfmzjg5fxk7l7i6hkivoyh.jpg.jpg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" \/><\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>MKS<\/strong> \u2014 A small crowd gathered around their stand as they hand\u2011built pedals for people. There\u2019s something mesmerising about watching a craftsperson work at that level of precision.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.podos.io\/9k5oh0ayhoqcgbxew20zxixdzn6vvzxcrcoedxesdlwaaciq.jpg.jpg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" alt=\"9k5oh0ayhoqcgbxew20zxixdzn6vvzxcrcoedxesdlwaaciq.jpg.jpg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" \/><\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Albion<\/strong> \u2014 Instead of pushing new kit, they were promoting repairs and fixing outdoor gear. A refreshingly grounded message in a space that can sometimes lean toward the shiny and new.<\/p><p><img src=\"https:\/\/images.podos.io\/uk4pulo0rtfoscgutbt7tetidosveu8qop96eprhbpzsnbis.jpg.jpg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" alt=\"uk4pulo0rtfoscgutbt7tetidosveu8qop96eprhbpzsnbis.jpg.jpg?w=1140&amp;v=2\" \/><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><h3>Sunshine, beer, and that courtyard atmosphere<\/h3><p>At one point we wandered out into the courtyard for a beer in the sunshine \u2014 the kind of simple moment that ends up defining the day. Warm light, bikes rolling past, people comparing notes on builds and components. It all felt very summery and very Peckham.<\/p><h3>A good reminder of why Bespoked matters<\/h3><p>What I love about Bespoked is that it\u2019s not just a bike show \u2014 it\u2019s a gathering of people who care deeply about making things well. Frames, components, bags, tools, ideas.
